International Potluck Dinner

We asked everyone to bring one dish that reminds them of home. What we got was a table that looked like nothing else in Tokyo: dumplings next to jollof rice, next to a very ambitious attempt at tiramisu, next to onigiri shaped like a rocket.

Food has a way of opening conversations that small talk can’t. By dessert, students who’d never met before were swapping recipes and phone numbers.
